April News from Misty River Ministries

LAMP VBS Arrangements...
Glen Vowell Salvation Army Church
LAMP VBS arrangements are already in place in many communities in BC, but others are still in progress.  I am quite excited that arrangements are in the works for a VBS to take place in Glen Vowell.
(From Wikipedia): Glen Vowell
is a First Nation reserve community of the Gitxsan people in the Hazelton area of the Skeena Country of northwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is located on the west side of the Skeena River between Hazelton and Kispiox. Its traditional name is Sik i dak, which has also been spelled Sikadoak.

In previous years we have had soccer camp, but this is our first year to hold VBS there!

Ministry Partnerships
On my return to Canada I was able to meet with two potential partner churches.  I will be scheduling an opportunity to share about the ministry with these congregations.  Please pray that God will open further doors of opportunity.  We are seeking to build a cluster of teams for more year-round coverage to the Hazelton area. This will provide much needed encouragement to struggling youth and will strengthen our support base as well.

God Breaks Through
I've been meeting with a friend who has experienced a major breakthrough in his life. A few weeks ago, he poured out his heart and talked about things he would never have dared speak of before. God did an amazing work of healing in his heart that day. Thankfully, I affirmed God’s merciful response to him. God brought to his mind this verse, “Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them  into the depths of the ocean!” Micah 7:19.
God is so good!

Precious Prayer Partners
Thank you for continually supporting this ministry in prayer.   Your continual prayers form the backbone of this ministry. They impact the ministry and allow us to move forward despite various challenges.  The Father delights in ministry to hungry hearts. He is the one who... “wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4)
