As the sun casts its rays over us with increasing warmth, our thoughts turn toward spring and the reawakening of life. Sometimes in our lives and ministry there is a period of dormancy. But oh, the joy when life begins to spring from the shadows. It becomes evident that what looked like death was but a period of inactivity and not death at all. We grow in faith as we see the faithfulness of God. Maturing in faith allows us to trust rather than doubt during those periods of inactivity. Not seeing, yet believing. The scripture says those who believe because of the testimonies of others without seeing are blessed for having believed. (John 20:29: “Then Jesus told him, ‘You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who haven’t seen me and believe anyway.’ ” )
Richmond Chinese Alliance Church (RCAC) Team Ministry
Thank you so much for your prayers for the RCAC team that came to Hazelton in February. The Lord had mercy on them. I kept telling them I was praying for cold weather and lots of snow so they could really experience winter in the north, (haha!) but God had other plans. We had wonderful ministry experiences together in Kitwanga and South Hazelton. The team ministered in Kitwanga on Thursday night with the children and Friday night with the youth. On Saturday night we ministered to youth we brought from the communities to the church and shared in the church service on Sunday morning.
Keep these things in your prayers
-LAMP summer ministry arrangements with teams and communities
-LAMP church visits in March & April
-Misty River Ministries Annual Meeting March 18
-Pray for several close friends whose Ye ‘eh (Gitxsan for grandfather) just passed away.
-Pray for God`s comfort in the midst of sorrow for the people. There have been many deaths in the villages over this winter season. Some deaths were due to old age, others under tragic circumstances. It is a heavy burden for them to bear.
Thank you for your faithful prayer support. We are in need of replacing funding that was from other sources. Please pray that God will provide for that need. If you are interested in helping to support the ministry financially, you can donate on the LAMP website: www.lampministry.org.
